The needs of the increasing vehicle and human population in Kocaeli necessitate the implementation of new alternative transportation networks and alternative road projects. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to work on new road construction that will connect Başiskele Başyiğit and Kanal Yolu streets in order to find a solution to the increasing vehicle density.

BRIDGE BORED PILE DRAWN

45 bored piles of the reinforced concrete bridge that will connect Başyiğit and Kanal Yolu streets have been driven. Foundation concrete was poured at the bridge piers. Curtain iron works of the bridge continue. Within the scope of Kiraz Creek improvement works, stone wall construction continues. Within the scope of the project, 20 thousand 900 cubic meters of excavation and 7 thousand 500 cubic meters of filling work will be carried out.

TOGETHER WITH REINFORCED CONCRETE BRIDGE

The reinforced concrete bridge to be built on Kiraz Stream will be put into service after the stream improvement works and asphalting works, and the new road that will connect Başyiğit and Kanal Yolu streets will make transportation easier between both streets. Within the scope of the project, which will bring a new street to Başiskele, the reinforced concrete bridge to be built within the scope of the new road with a length of 696 meters will connect Başyiğit and Kanal Yolu streets.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

Within the scope of stream improvement works on Kiraz Stream, 2 thousand 155 square meters of mortared pier, stone wall, reinforced concrete stream floor will be manufactured. 3 thousand 490 tons of pilent mix foundation, 2 thousand 425 tons of binder and abrasion asphalt will be laid. The new road will be an alternative route that will facilitate transportation between Başiskele Kanal Yolu Street and Başyiğit Street.
