KEMAL KILIÇDAROĞLU: “HACI BEKTAŞ PARENT TEACHED MY SUFI”

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu started his speech by saying, “We commemorate a sage, an Anatolian sage who told us the virtue of tolerance, loving people and nature.”

Kılıçdaroğlu, who emphasized that Hacı Bektaş Veli taught the way of using the mind, finding the truth, deepening in faith, and mysticism, shared the following from Hünkar's advice:

“He said a lot to those who lived and understood this land. He said that the greatest miracle, He said that justice is knowing the truth in everything. He said that sages are both seekers and inventors. He said that the highest wealth is knowledge. He said that the essence of the devil is the essence of humility. He said, "Blessed are those who shine a light on the darkness of thought." He said that those who make a living without working are not from us. He said that the sleep of the scholar is better than the worship of the ignorant. He said, don't look for anyone's fault, see your own fault. And he said that whatever the language, the color of the tongue, the good are good, the good are always good."

CARRYING THE TORCH OF ENLIGHTENMENT

Kılıçdaraoğlu, emphasizing that what Hacı Bektaş Veli said from beyond the ages has turned into universal rules today, said, “He carried the torch of enlightenment, not a sword in his hand. He has always defended right and justice throughout his life. Society has accepted that he came to Anatolia with pigeon pants. Because it has been the story of peace, tranquility and coexistence. He has not marginalized anyone. He was educated in the quarry of the Sufi Ahmet Yesevi and received inspiration. His teacher in his lodge is Lokman Perende.”

IN ISLAMIC COUNTRIES THERE IS PAIN, THERE IS BLOOD, THERE ARE TEARS

Reminding the quote of Hacı Bektaş Veli, "If you see a place as dark, know that the curtain is in your eyes," Kılıçdaroğlu continued his speech as follows:

“Those who were educated in his convent dispersed to Anatolia and Rumelia after completing their education. Today, in many countries of Europe, his thoughts enlighten the society. He has always defended justice, said that the state should be governed by justice and merit, and he expressed this. According to Haci Bektashi Veli, one should compete in goodness, resist injustice, never deviate from justice and never despair. Hunkar says so. But there are harsh realities in the world today. In the world today, most of the areas of war, hunger and famine are Islamic countries. There is pain, blood, tears in Islamic countries. There are Muslims who have been displaced from their homeland and have to immigrate from their country. What is happening in Afghanistan worries not only us but the whole world. In basic areas such as democracy, human rights, education, health, social equality and justice, Muslim countries are indeed in misery. We wish the pain and the blood spilled will come to an end. Peace and justice will come in the Islamic world, justice and peace will be gained.”
