Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality started to work on an alternative bridge to be built in order to protect the historical Dilaver Bridge in Çınar district.

The Metropolitan Municipality continues its works on the rural neighborhood roads of 17 districts uninterruptedly in order to provide more comfortable and safe transportation opportunities for the people of Diyarbakır.

Construction Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department has started work on the newly built bridge to protect the historical Dilaver Bridge, which is located on the 20th kilometer of the old Derik road.

The reinforced concrete bridge, built as an alternative to the historical bridge, will have 4 bays, 10 meters wide, 6 meters high and 40 meters long.

The connection roads of the new bridge are also being built

Within the scope of the same project, the Metropolitan Municipality will also lay asphalt on the connection roads of 74,4 kilometers in total.

When the new Dilaver Bridge and connection roads, which will be built with a total cost of 2 million 500 thousand liras, are completed, 37 neighborhoods of Çınar district and a population of 25 thousand 300 will benefit from this bridge.
