There are 3,5 billion smartphone users in the world. In this context, mobile applications, which generate nearly 600 billion dollars in revenue, are expected to generate 2023 trillion dollars in revenue by the end of 1. In 2020, revenue from game applications alone approached 200 billion dollars.

Giving information about the behavior of smartphone users, TTT Global Group Chairman of the Board Dr. Akin Arslan said:

“There are 3,5 billion smartphone users in the world. According to studies, the average adolescent touches their phone more than 60 times a day and spends at least 5,5 hours on the phone. He checks his phone every 12 minutes while he's awake. Adults, on the other hand, spend 3 hours and 45 minutes on the phone. An average smartphone user has about 40 applications installed on his phone and actively uses at least 9 applications during the day. In this context, it is aimed that mobile applications, which currently generate revenues of approximately 600 billion dollars, will generate 2023 trillion dollars in revenue by the end of 1. At the same time, as commerce is rapidly digitizing, 2021% of total e-commerce is expected to be made directly from applications on mobile phones in 70.”

Evaluating the world mobile phone market and mobile application market, TTT Global Group Chairman of the Board Dr. Akin Arslan said:

In Turkey, 85,55% of the smartphone market is Android, while the ratio of phones with iOS operating system is around 14,45%. According to Gartner's reports, as of 2021, there is 87% Android and 13% iOS separation in the mobile phone market. In the mobile phone market, the iOS-Android war continues. Another issue, when we evaluate mobile applications, according to Statista data, a total of 2020 billion applications were downloaded from AppleStore and GooglePlay in 218. By 2021, this number is expected to reach 250 billion mobile applications. In 2020 alone, the TikTok application reached over 350 million downloads. When we come to this year, according to the analysis of the first quarter of 2021, the number of active applications on GooglePlay has reached 3,5 million. In AppleStore, this number reached 2,5 million. There are around 1 million active apps on the Windows Store and Amazon Store. Currently, more than 100 thousand new applications are added to GooglePlay and over 30 thousand new applications are added to AppleStore. 40% of existing apps are added to stores by developers in China. For example, there are over 1,2 million mini-programs running within the Chinese Wechat, which has become the world's largest communication-shopping platform with approximately 3,9 billion users. Wechat's annual trade volume has exceeded 200 billion dollars. These figures show that the economy created by mobile phones will increase exponentially every year.”
