Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu opened the Nicosia Northern Ring Road on the 47th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was in the TRNC for a series of visits, also attended the ceremony with a video conference. The ceremony was attended by the TRNC Minister of Public Works and Transport, officialye Eroğlu Canaltay. Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We are implementing an important project. Delivering a short speech at the ceremony, President Erdoğan said, “The Nicosia Northern Ring Road Project will greatly relieve the traffic of the capital Nicosia. It will save time and fuel,” he said. President Erdoğan thanked everyone who contributed to the acquisition of the “Nicosia Northern Ring Road” to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; wished him good luck.
Within the scope of his program in the TRNC, Minister Karaismailoğlu first performed the Eid Prayer together with President Erdoğan in Nicosia. Karaismailoğlu, who attended the ceremony at the Nicosia Atatürk Monument with the President and later accompanied the Peace and Freedom Day Official Ceremony, then opened the Nicosia Northern Ring Road. Karaismailoğlu, who will return to Turkey after his programs in the TRNC, will finally attend the Erzincan Airport Name Change Ceremony.
