Minister Karaismailoğlu, who examined the flood-damaged area in Güneysu district of Rize, evaluated the work done after the flood and landslide.

Karaismailoğlu said, “We repaired all the damages under the responsibility of transportation, communication and other ministries. After that, on the one hand, we make damage assessments, on the other hand, we prepare our permanent projects; We are trying to make our applications. All the deficiencies that our citizens have suffered due to the disaster will be eliminated,” he said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu examined the flood-damaged area in Rize's Güneysu district. Karaismailoğlu stated that they were in the region from the first hours of the incident and they followed the events and intervened, “We lost 6 citizens in floods and landslides; we are sad about this. All the damage done by the flood can be repaired, but it is an irreparable sadness. Hundreds of our personnel are working non-stop to find our 2 missing citizens. Hopefully, we will get results as soon as possible."

“There is no transportation and communication problem in the region”

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that there were some difficulties in terms of transportation and communication in the first days, but they made important developments in terms of needs, and said:

“With our rapid response, we have made significant progress in terms of both transportation and communication needs. Now we're starting to clear things up. As of today, we do not have any transportation, communication problems or any shortcomings in the region. From now on, we have accelerated our work with all our friends to make permanent projects in order to prevent these effects in such disaster situations.”

“We are in mobilization with all our ministries and institutions”

Noting that the works have been completed to a large extent, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they have made a great effort to return to the pre-disaster period. Pointing out that all Ministries and institutions are working extraordinarily in mobilization, Karaismailoğlu said, “We have largely tidied up the mess. From now on, we will continue to serve the region with permanent projects. Our hands, our eyes, our ears will always be here. Our state, together with our people in the region, our institutions, and we will overcome such disasters here in a very short time, as we always have.”

“The deficiencies and damages of the citizens will be eliminated”

Karaismailoğlu, who stated that the deficiencies and damages of all citizens damaged by the disaster will be eliminated, ended his speech as follows:

“The eyes and ears of our President are also here. We are in constant consultation. All the deficiencies that our citizens have suffered due to the disaster will be eliminated. Cash donations were also made to everyone on the second day. It will continue after that. We are in contact with all our citizens regarding the damage assessment. May our citizens rest in peace. We will return to the pre-disaster situation as soon as possible and we will finish our permanent projects as soon as possible.”
