Teams continue their feverish work on the Plajyolu-Kuruçeşme tram line built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. Asphalt paving was carried out on the road that was expanded within the scope of the tram line that the Metropolitan Municipality will extend from Plajyolu to Kuruçeşme.

VEHICLES WILL USE THE NEW ROAD

The old road, which is the route of the tram line, will be closed after the completion of the widened road where asphalt paving is done. Vehicle traffic to Kuruçeşme will be provided by the new road built in the western toll booths area. The tram line will pass through the current road.

THE ROAD TO KuruÇEŞME IS EXTENDED

The existing Akçaray Tram Line in Izmit District will pass from Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of the D-100 and connect to Kuruçeşme. The Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out expansion works on the 900-meter-long road that goes from Izmit west toll booths to Kuruçeşme, continues to work on the wall constructions, culvert construction and electricity and MOBESE lines on the new road.

D-100 WILL CONTINUE ON THE EXTENDED PATH

Vehicle traffic will flow over the D-2 in the direction of Kuruçeşme, Derince and Körfez from the new road, which will be expanded and asphalted by adding an extra 100 lanes. Within the scope of the study, the Kuruçeşme junction will be rearranged, and the tram line will pass through the existing vehicle traffic.

OLD PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES TO BE DESTROYED

At the entrance to Kuruçeşme, the old bridges in front of the Gümüşhaneliler Foundation and in front of the İzmit High School will be demolished and two new modern steel construction pedestrian bridges will be built in their place. Acıbadem pedestrian bridge, which will be manufactured as approximately 59 meters of steel construction, and a new 52 meters long steel construction pedestrian bridge will be built in front of Izmit High School.

TRAM LINE WILL REACH 23,4 KILOMETERS

A Transformer Center will be established to provide the energy of the line. With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the tram line will reach a double line of 1 thousand 10 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 212 kilometers, with a 3-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will reach 23,4 and with the new construction, 16 transformer centers will serve.
