Ogier took first place in Italy, while teammate Elfyn Evans came to the finish line in second place, allowing Toyota to achieve an impressive result.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's win in Sardinia came with the fast and consistent performance of the Toyota Yaris WRC and the drivers. Although Ogier started the rally by clearing the way in stages especially on Friday due to his position, he finished the day in the top three and took the lead on Saturday. Evans, on the other hand, maintained his pace throughout the weekend, climbing to second place. Ogier and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia retained their advantage in all four stages on the last day, reaching the victory in Sardinia. Completing the race 46 seconds ahead of his teammates Elfyn Evans, Ogier is 11 points ahead of Evans in the Drivers' Championship.

Kalle Rovanperä, who had to stop due to a technical problem while going second on Friday, contributed 3 more points to the team with her third place in the Power Stage. With these results, Toyota's extraordinary performance in Italy enabled it to increase the leadership gap to 49 points in the Constructors' Championship. However, TGR WRC Challenge Program driver Takamoto Katsuta repeated his own record by placing fourth in Italy as well as Portugal, thus placing three Toyota Yaris WRCs in the top four.

Team captain Jari-Matti Latvala stated that they had a fantastic rally for the team after the race. We have overall performance, stamina and stability. "This is very good for the championship," he said. Sébastien Ogier, who won the race, said that they had an incredible weekend and said, “We did not expect such a result in Sardinia. Getting the first two places for the team is an incredible achievement. The feel in the car was much better after Portugal. The two extra points we got in the Power Stage were important to the championship. We want to continue this pace,” he said.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will compete in the famous Kenya Safari Rally, which returns to the WRC calendar nearly 20 years after Italy. The rally, which will be held on 24-27 June, will be a completely new excitement for the drivers with its exhausting stages.
