Rize Governor Kemal Ceber said that Iyidere Logistics Center, which will be integrated with Rize-Artvin Airport and the Ovit Tunnel, which is Rize's gateway to the east and southeast, will contribute greatly to the economy not only of Rize but also of Turkey.
Governor Ceber said, “Our airport is an investment in our integrated investment chain. Our transportation routes to the tourism centers that complete this and our master plans continue. Our investments continue in many places that are reflected in the agenda, such as Ayder. On the other hand, we are starting the second phase of our commercially organized industry. The works of our logistics port continue at a great pace. We have filled 41 thousand tons of filling there so far. İkizdere Cevizlik Materials started to be transported from the Quarry. Our logistics port will also connect us to the East and Southeast via the Ovit Tunnel and Erzurum, and we will transport all kinds of products and all kinds of technology materials produced in the East and Southeast to our logistics center via the Erzurum-Rize road. And this logistics port will be a very important logistics center of the Black Sea. It will be our gateway to Central Asia and the Caucasus. We will raise the commercial, touristic and agricultural level of this region on several levels with integrated projects such as this airport and logistics center.”
