He announced that they will hold the groundbreaking ceremony of Toybelen Industrial Site soon with the participation of the Minister of Environment and Urbanization, Murat Kurum, and that they have extended the application date for the new location until 15 June.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, who examines the studies and investments on site as every weekend, said that investments in many areas from urban transformation to transportation, from environment to culture and arts and sports will continue to grow even more. Stating that they will sign an important project protocol with ASELSAN on Tuesday, June 1, President Demir emphasized that they will take an important step towards the transportation problem of the city with the Smart City Traffic Safety Project. “Samsun Smart City Traffic Safety Project is a very important project. It is a first project in Turkey. We will change the speed of traffic flow and intersections that are out of sync. There will be dynamic intersections to reduce traffic density. I wish this project to be carried out with ASELSAN to be beneficial for our city ”.

The minister will come for Toybelen

Stating that they will hold the groundbreaking ceremony of Toybelen Industrial Site soon with the participation of Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “31 May was the deadline regarding the applications, but we extended the deposit period to 15 June due to pandemic restrictions. No time extension will be made after this date. Applications are made quickly now. Our industrial tradesmen who will buy a shop from Toybelen Industrial Site will be definitely clarified. We will continue our work to cover our small tradesmen in Eski Sanayi Sitesi, Example, 19 May and Ilkadim Organized Industrial Zones regarding the remaining shops. The most important feature of this place is that it is only for tradesmen. Our tradesmen will have the opportunity to both maintain their own property and leave a good investment to their children, as it is a serious incentive. " he spoke.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, who also gave information about the architectural art project that will start in the area after the removal of Gülsan Industrial Site, said, “I thank all our ministers for their support to our works. The application phase started regarding the actuality of the preliminary design project to be built in place of Gülsan Industrial Site. We will create an association there. All Samsun will be represented in the association. It may not be the biggest in Turkey in terms of architectural design, but it will be the most perfect. We will present it to the service of our people as a project where architecture turns into art. Because it will be a very suitable project to show the style of design, the formation of architecture, and architecture as art ”.

Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir, who also attended the funeral of Semra Acar, the wife of Alaçam Mayor İlyas Acar, who died last Saturday as a result of a heart attack, made a condolence visit to the family. Later, together with the AK Party District Chairman Fatih Seven, he examined the hot asphalt work of 2 thousand 900 meters, which was completed in the Yeşilköy District. He said that they bring transportation comfort together with high quality roads in every point of Samsun. He met with the citizens in the district's Karagöl District. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, who also examined the TOKI houses built by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in Yeşilova District of 19 Mayıs district, stated that 120 houses will be located on an area of 297 decares.

"Public transportation problem increases traffic"

Stating that they will complete the construction of the minibus terminal project that will solve the transportation problem from the districts to the city center by the end of the year, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “The rail system in Samsun is an important investment. It also performs an important function in public transportation. Especially in the public transportation system from districts and neighborhoods to the center, our people come by changing 3 vehicles. There is a wife, there is a winter, there is an elderly person, there are children. They are in great trouble with what they bring with them. We had an 8-month count to solve this problem. We found that 24 public transportation vehicles arrived from the districts to the city center within 372 hours. "We saw that there was a density of private vehicles due to the inability of public transportation vehicles to reach the center, and this increased the traffic more."

Emphasizing that the district minibus terminal project to be built next to the cultural center will be tendered soon, Mayor Demir said, “The rail system is right next to it. Pedestrian crossings are also ready. It is a very convenient location. Besides the zoning problem, it does not cost much. We plan to make the tender and finish it by the end of the year. The old zoo area is also seen as an attractive gathering area. We will also build the collection areas and open them into service next year. We also bring serious discipline to passenger loading and unloading areas. With this, we will prevent parking and red light violations near intersections with optical readers. We will adjust the light times automatically. It will be a perfect system by using its infrastructure and cutting-edge technology ”.
