This year, the application and application guide for the central exam to be held on June 6, 2021 within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS) has been published.
At the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, the central exam application and application guide for secondary education institutions that will take students with an exam has been announced on the website "meb.gov.tr".
In the guide, the procedures and principles related to the central examination to be held in order to select students for science high schools, social sciences high schools, Anatolian technical programs of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and secondary education institutions implementing special programs and projects that will receive students with a central examination, list and quotas are given.
No additional procedures will be required for the exam application.
Applications for the central exam to be applied on June 6, 2021 within the scope of LGS, will be made centrally by the Ministry between 5-14 April 2021.
Automatic application process will be carried out for all 8th grade students studying domestically. Students studying at schools abroad that are not enrolled in the e-school system will make their applications by filling out the form in the published guide. Thus, students and parents will not need to make a physical application for the exam.
Students whose applications are submitted automatically by the Ministry will not have to take the exam. Students who want to take the exam will be able to take the exam without any application process.
The photo exam entry document will be announced on the e-School Parent Information System as of May 27, 2021. School directorates will receive the exam entry documents of their students from this date and will be sealed and handed over to the students.
No change in the exam
No changes were made in the sessions, exam durations, number of questions and course distribution in the LGS central exam.
Exam application will be held in two sessions in 2021, as in the previous year. Students will be asked a total of 90 questions, all of which are multiple choice. Turkey clock 09.30:11.30 in the first session and the second session will begin at 50:75. In the first session, students will be asked a total of 40 questions from Turkish, Turkish revolutionary history and Kemalism, religious culture and ethics, and foreign language lessons, and a 80-minute response time will be given. In the second session, students will be asked a total of XNUMX questions from mathematics and science classes, and students will have XNUMX minutes to answer.
Number of correct and incorrect answers will be determined for each subtest in the verbal and numerical sections. The raw score of each student for each subtest will be calculated by subtracting one third of the number of wrong answers from the number of correct answers for the relevant test.
Exam results will be announced on 30 June 2021 on the website "meb.gov.tr". Exam results documents will not be sent to students by mail.
Student quota in exam schools is 174 thousand 160
Anatolian high schools, science high schools, social sciences high schools, Anatolian technical programs of vocational and technical Anatolian high schools and secondary education institutions implementing special programs and projects were also included in the annex of the announced guide. In this context, a total of 174 thousand 160 students will be admitted to schools that accept students with an exam. A quota of 56 thousand 396 for Anatolian high schools, 36 thousand 980 for science high schools, 10 thousand 142 for social sciences high schools, 36 thousand 712 for Anatolian imam hatip high schools, 33 thousand 930 for vocational and technical Anatolian high schools.
