SAMULAŞ, the company of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality that provides public transportation services with light rail systems and buses, continues to supply spare parts and system renewals for the vehicles they use. He carried out the localization of the battery systems of 16 vehicles of Italian origin that took part in this renewal process. In this context, the maintenance and repair team of experienced engineers and the engineers of ASPİLSAN Energy, which is the foundation of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, ensured that the imported batteries of the vehicles were produced domestically with a joint development project.
Metropolitan Municipality has renewed Turkey's first rail system to produce batteries with the battery ASPİLSAN with domestic fleet of trams. Stating that the domestic battery is able to charge faster, low pure water consumption, does not emit corrosive gas and has a longer life, Mayor Mustafa Demir said, "As a municipality that attaches importance to technology, we attach great importance to domestic production."
