"Presidential Decision on Turnover Loss Support for Enterprises Engaged in Food and Beverage Service Activities Due to the Coronavirus Outbreak" was published in the Official Gazette on February 6 and entered into force.

With the "Communiqué on the Turnover Loss Support Program and Implementation Principles for Businesses Engaging in Food and Beverage Service Activities Due to the Coronavirus Epidemic" published on February 17, the procedures and principles regarding the provision of such support were determined by the Ministry of Commerce.

Pursuant to the President's Decision and the communiqué, the business that started before the 2019 calendar year or the 2019 calendar year and has an active obligation as of January 27, 2021, its turnover in the calendar year 2019 is 3 million TL and below, compared to the turnover in the calendar year 2020, For businesses operating in the food and beverage sector (having the NACE 50 general activity classification code) with a decrease of 56 or more and having value-added tax obligation, their turnover is less than 2 thousand lira and not more than 40 thousand lira to benefit only once 3 percent of the amount of turnover loss support will be paid.

The payments to the businesses that deserve the revenue loss support and the loss of turnover support, which were enacted before, will be made by deducting the income loss support. If the turnover loss support is more than the income loss support, the excess will be paid to the beneficiary.

Turnover loss support applications can be made by the legal representatives of the enterprises entitled to receive it, using the service under the title of "Turnover Loss Support Application" via e-Government from today until 31 on Wednesday, March 2021, 23.59.
