The Pars 6 × 6 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle era begins in the Turkish Armed Forces. In the video shared by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense regarding the trip, it was seen that the production of the first FNSS PARS 6 × 6 (MKKA) vehicle produced for the Special Forces Command was quite advanced.

In July 2020, the first assembly of the Pars 6 × 6 Mine Protected Vehicle, developed within the scope of the project initiated by the Presidency of Defense Industry in line with the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, was carried out.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Presidency Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir said, “After the qualification tests that will continue until the end of the year, all of our vehicles will be included in the inventory in 2021 and will be available to the Turkish Armed Forces for the first time. This vehicle, which has some features that we call the first in the world, also has a high export potential. I hope this capable vehicle will be beneficial to our security forces and Turkish Armed Forces. We will start this process with 12 pieces. We hope it will continue with more products ”.

TÜMOSAN for Domestic and National Engines

TÜMOSAN Motor ve Traktör Sanayi A.Ş. (TÜMOSAN) and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. (FNSS), within the scope of the Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles Project Sub-Contractor Contract, TÜMOSAN Motor ve Traktör Sanayi A.Ş. TÜMOSAN announced that an advance payment was made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

Negotiations began between TÜMOSAN and FNSS for domestic and national engines to be used in the OMTTZA Project on October 18, 2018. On 4 April 2019, the Presidency of the Turkish Presidency for Defense Industries (SSB) and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. Within the scope of the Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles Project contract signed between (FNSS), TÜMOSAN Motor and Traktör Sanayi A.Ş. for the engines to be supplied to be integrated into the 100 Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles to be delivered by the FNSS to the Turkish Armed Forces. (TÜMOSAN) and FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. It included 25 engine procurement and integrated logistics support services on December 2019, 100, and the Contract for Domestic Engine Supply Subcontractor, which was 72 months including contract warranty period.

Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles Project

In the contract in which a domestic and national engine is planned to be integrated into military vehicles for the first time; In the 100 8 × 8 and 6 × 6 vehicles that FNSS will provide to the Land Forces Command and the Gendarmerie General Command, diesel engines developed by TÜMOSAN engineers will be used.

In the contract, a project model that includes the integration and qualification of the engines already developed by TÜMOSAN to Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicles in accordance with the project requirements has been designed, and the adaptation, production, integration and qualification of all engines will be carried out domestically.

In project scope:

  • 30 6 × 6 Command Vehicles
  • 45 8 × 8 Sensor Discovery Vehicles
  • 15 6 × 6 Radar Vehicles
  • 5 8 × 8 CBRN Vehicles
  • 5 8 × 8 Armored Combat Vehicles will be delivered.

Within the scope of ÖMTTZA Project; ASELSAN will design and manufacture 7.62 mm and 25 mm unmanned weapon systems, electro-optic, radar, communication, command control and navigation systems to be used in vehicles, and domestic engines to be integrated into vehicles will be developed and produced by TÜMOSAN.
