Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, inaugurated the Diyarbakır-Ergani-Elazığ Highway Devegeçidi Bridge and Connection Roads, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also attended and made a speech via video conference method.

Karaismailoğlu continued his explanations as follows: “Our bridge on Devegeçidi Valley on Diyarbakır-Ergani Road, which connects Diyarbakır to Elazig, which we have opened today, is in the standard of divided road and is 142 meters long. Our project reaches 3 thousand meters with connection roads. With the structure we built while preserving the existing historical bridges in the valley, we cross the Devegeçidi Valley with a crossroad and connect to the Eğil road. With the completion of the connection roads, the traffic on the Eğil Junction will be provided in a safer and uninterrupted way. "

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that with the project, it is possible to travel safely and comfortably on the Ergani-Elazig Road, which is the gate of Diyarbakır to the north, and stated that the high slopes in the valley have been improved with the bridge; he said:

We increased the length of Diyarbakır's divided highway 10 times from 44 kilometers to 448 kilometers. With 10 highway projects continuing throughout the city, we will have built more than 214 kilometers. "
