Explaining the works on the Hıdırellez Road, saying “We worked as Ferhat drilled the mountains for Şirin”, Mayor Büyükkılıç said that the road, which is vital for the north of the city, will cost 10 million TL.
The first phase of the Hıdırellez Road, which will serve 12 neighborhoods on the shore of Yamula Dam, on the continuation of Erkilet Boulevard in the north of Kayseri, is the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. It was put into service by Memduh Büyükkılıç. Saying that the entire 4-kilometer road will cost 10 million TL, Büyükkılıç said, “I hope that when we complete the second stage, our total 4-kilometer road will cost approximately 10 million TL. I also express that it is the product of a work that will serve 12 neighborhoods with our current dimension. I am grateful and thankful to the beautiful people of our Kayseri who gave us this opportunity. May Allah make us worthy of them and make us use this beautiful path without any accident or trouble ”. Mayor Büyükkılıç wished that they opened their first project in 2021 in a way, that it suits Erkilet and Kayseri very well and that it will be auspicious.

WORKS ON HIDRELLEZ ROAD
The dangerous bends on the Hıdrellez Road were completely destroyed and the valleys were filled with soil. In this context, 150 thousand cubic meters were cut and 130 thousand cubic meters were filled. In order to protect the road infrastructure during road construction works with 900 meters long retaining walls and against a possible flood, 2 box culverts of 2 × 180 dimensions and 4 meters in total were built in dry streams. In addition, 2 thousand meters of water ditch was built to collect the water on the road to protect the physical structure of the road and increase driving comfort.
On the other hand, 3 thousand meters of guardrails were built to ensure the safety of life and property within the scope of the project. When the first stage of the road is completed, 10 thousand tons of asphalt will be used on the road, which will cost 10 million TL in total.
