Existing building was demolished and excavation work started

The Metropolitan Municipality will solve the problem of car park, which is one of the biggest problems of bazaar tradesmen and citizens who come for shopping, with a 2-storey car park it has built. The teams working for the parking lot, whose construction started recently, completed the demolition work of the existing parking lot and started the excavation work. After the teams complete the excavation process, the geotechnical works will begin. After the reinforced concrete and structural landscaping of the multi-storey car park is completed, it will be brought into the service of Mersin residents.

It will have a total capacity of 345 vehicles and 40 motorcycles

With the re-revised project, there will be a building of 5 thousand 700 square meters, with a basement floor of 2 thousand 6 square meters and the second basement floor of 60 thousand 11 square meters. The first basement floor will have a capacity of 760 vehicles, and the second basement floor will have a capacity of 163 vehicles and 2 motorcycles. The 182-storey car park with a total capacity of 40 vehicles and 345 motorcycles will eliminate the car park problem. The top of the underground car park will be the city square. In the new version of the project, there will be a car wash area in the basement and a charging station for electric vehicles.

The green area will replace the concrete structure of the parking lot. In addition to the area for street basketball, there will also be show, exhibition, game and gymnastic areas in the square.
