The alarm level in the Tunca River, whose flow rate increased to 208 cubic meters / second due to the heavy downpours in Edirne and the waters coming from Bulgaria, was raised from orange to red. A person who was stuck with his vehicle on the road between Hatipköy and Büyükismailce villages due to the overflow of the river was rescued by AFAD teams.

The downpour that has been affecting Edirne for 3 days negatively affected life and caused floods. With the precipitation in Bulgaria, the flow rates of the Tunca and Meriç rivers increased. While the flow of Meriç River increased to 769 cubic meters / second at Kirişhane Station, a yellow alarm was given. While the flow of Tunca River increased to 208 cubic meters / second, the alarm level was raised to red.

Stranded

A person who was carrying food to Tunca Border Division on the Bulgarian border with his minibus was stranded on the road between Hatipköy-Büyükismailce villages. The driver, who could not get rid of the water rising about 1,5 meters by his own means, climbed on his vehicle and asked for help. AFAD teams went to the region by boat and rescued the person whose name was not disclosed.
