The two spearheads, dated to the end of the 4th millennium BC in Trabzon, started to be exhibited at the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Private Silk Road Museum of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu gave a certificate of appreciation to the scientists and citizens who contributed to bringing the spearheads to the museum.

TTSO PRIVATE SILKYOLU MUSEUM

The two spearheads found in Trabzon were dated by the Archeology Department of Karadeniz Technical University, belonging to the late chalcolithic and early Bronze Age, to the end of the fourth millennium BC and the beginning of the third millennium BC. Spearheads started to be exhibited at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Private İpekyolu Museum.

HACISALİHOĞLU: WE PROVE THAT THE HISTORY OF TRABZON HAS REACHED 6 THOUSAND YEARS

A ceremony was held to give a certificate of appreciation to those who contributed to bringing the spearheads to the museum. Speaking at the ceremony, TTSO President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu said, “There are new findings about Trabzon's history. Our professors from the archeology department and our university contributed greatly to the acquisition of these works. It is necessary to thank the names of our citizens who found them and showed an example of responsibility by bringing them into history. Abidin Karbuzoğlu and Gökhan Baki found and preserved these works and made them historical. We proved with these two works that the history of Trabzon reached 6 thousand years. I would like to thank everyone who contributed ”.

AKGÜL: WE DON'T HOPE THAT THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATION HAS BEGINNING

KTU Archeology Department academic staff member Dr. Hülya Çalışkan Akgül said, “I would like to thank everyone who found these works, donated them and brought them to the museum. The spearheads discovered are the first archaeological finds in Trabzon, which we call the end of the 4th millennium BC and the beginning of the 3rd millennium BC, where we can talk about the late chalcolithic end and the beginning of the first Bronze Age. Therefore, he withdrew the history of the city until the 4th millennium BC. If we count from today, these spearheads are proof that we live in lands with 6 thousand years of human life. Very important archaeological finds. I hope the rest of these will come and most importantly, it will lead to an archeology excavation in our city ”.

KTU Archeology Department academic staff member Assoc. Dr. Serkan Demirel said, “Unfortunately, archeology studies in our country are carried out by individual efforts. Social cooperation on this issue can produce better results. "We would like to thank Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its President Suat Hacısalihoğlu for their support to unearth the spearheads and archaeological studies."

ERÜZ: THE CHANCE TO REWRITE THE HISTORY OF TRABZON HAS ARRIVED

Trabzon Natural and Historical Values ​​Preservation Association President Assoc. Dr. Coşkun Erüz said, “It is very important that these works are found in Trabzon. The chance to rewrite Trabzon's history with scientifically proven and material evidence has emerged. Our Suat President and Hülya Hoca made serious efforts to convince the citizens who hold these works and bring them to the museum. Thanks to them, these works remained in Trabzon without going anywhere else and were brought to the museum. I am grateful to them on behalf of Trabzon and for their contribution to rewriting the history of the region ”.
