Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca examined Celaleddin Karatay Street, which is being built by the Metropolitan Municipality.
Stating that the works are continuing despite the pandemic, Mayor Altay said, “When Celaleddin Karatay Street is completed, there will be a connection from Ankara Road to Karaman Road through Ali Ulvi Kurucu Avenue. Hopefully, when İsmail Ketenci Street is completed, we will create a new main artery that will connect Meram, Karatay and Selçuklu. Here, we are doing a work to ease the traffic and we aim to accelerate the zoning movement in the region and to increase the construction as soon as possible. Good luck to our street, Karatay. Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca stated that they continue to work as the Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities despite the pandemic rules and said, “It is a street that connects to the Meram region through Ali Ulvi Kurucu Street. It will be an important axle. An alternative route is currently being formed to Fetih Caddesi and Ahmet Özcan Caddesi. I would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor and his entire team for their work. There will also be a bicycle path on Celaleddin Karatay Street, which will be 500 meters long and 25 meters wide.
