Struggling for a greener Erciyes Mountain, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality carried out studies on plant species that grow naturally in the area in 2018. Soil analyzes were conducted to enrich the plant tissue in Erciyes at that time, and as a result of these analyzes, studies were carried out on naturally growing species such as mullein, kangal, vinegar, chamomile, sainfoin, keven, rhododendrons. Rose marshmallow seeds were planted in Hacılar and Hisarcık, and daisy seeds were planted at Tekir and Hacılar doors. It has been determined that the project, which was initiated to extend the duration of snow retention, which is reduced due to the dilution of the plant tissue in areas with intensive use, and to prevent erosion that may occur due to rainfall, has been found to be successful.
NEW GROWING PLANT SPECIES DETERMINED
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “With the seeds collected from the existing plants in Erciyes in 2018, it was observed that new plants started to grow in spring and the studies were successful. While the soil samples taken from different points in the field in July 2020 were sent to the laboratory for analysis, the ball, bromine and discrete species that could grow in this area were determined ”.

In Erciyes, with the concern that the seeds will be blown off due to the wind and the slope of the land, a seed carpet was produced by the method of needling into naturally soluble biotextiles to enable the plant to root more easily. The seed carpet produced was successfully laid on the field. " he spoke.
Underlining that the biotextile seed carpet will turn Erciyes into a green cover as of May 2021, Büyükkılıç stated that their work will continue to enrich the plant tissue in Erciyes.
