Primary, secondary and high school students will continue with distance education to be carried out with TRT EBA, EBA and live classroom applications, printed and digital auxiliary resources until Monday, January 19, 4 due to the Kovid-20121 outbreak after the break. Face-to-face training will be held in kindergarten, nursery class and practice classes.

After the first break of the 2020-2021 academic year, distance education will be launched on Monday, November 23, with TRT EBA, EBA and live classroom applications, printed and digital auxiliary resources until January 4, 2021.

The first semester break started on Monday, November 16, 2020 and ended on Friday, November 20, 2020. During the break, teachers attended professional development programs online.

In line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Scientific Committee, at the Cabinet Meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, from Friday, November 20, 2020 to Monday, January 4, 2021, continue all formal, private, formal and non-formal education activities through distance education. decision was taken.
In this context, face-to-face training will not be provided in primary schools, secondary schools and high schools, special education schools and classes, practical courses in vocational high schools, support and training courses and reinforcement courses in this process.

Exception to special education with nursery classes

As a result of the consultations with the relevant institutions, it was evaluated that it would be appropriate to provide face-to-face training 5 days a week in all public and private kindergartens, nursery classes and practice classes. In this context, face-to-face training will be held in pre-school education institutions, 5 days a week and 6 activity hours a day, and one activity hour will be planned for 30 minutes. In addition, children's clubs can be opened in preschool education institutions with suitable physical facilities, provided that all measures related to the epidemic are taken.

There is also an exception for individual trainings in private education and rehabilitation centers within the scope of the Law No. 5580 on Private Education Institutions.

In addition, courses for those who want to obtain a license, seaman and pilot license, and those who have sufficient infrastructure from various private courses will be able to do theoretical courses through distance education. The applied trainings in the programs implemented by these institutions will be completed after January 4, 2021.

Distance education tools

In the distance education process, weekly course schedules will be shared with students and parents by teachers under the coordination of school administrations. School administrators and teachers will structure the distance education processes in the new term according to the course subjects and curriculum they have taught with their students during the semester break.
In this process, education will be carried out with TRT EBA channels, live classroom applications, EBA internet platform, printed and digital auxiliary resources.

No exams will be held face to face or remotely during this period.

There will be no exams, either face-to-face or remotely, until January 4, 2021. After this date, the exams are planned to be held face-to-face in the school environment, but after January 4, issues related to measurement and evaluation activities will be evaluated according to the course of the epidemic process and will be announced separately. Students will be responsible for the education curriculum, which is done face-to-face and with distance education.

Dispensing process of tablets

Tablet computers sent through public institutions and organizations, local administrations, private sector organizations and civil initiatives are delivered to students in need. It is planned that 500 thousand tablet computers will be delivered to students by the end of the year.

Live classroom apps

With the integration of EBA live classroom and alternative applications into the system in the distance education process, it has the capacity to teach approximately 2 million lessons per day.

The EBA internet portal will be available to students with more than 1700 lessons and over 40 thousand rich, reliable and interactive content. In EBA, video or interactive narratives, exercises, summaries, infographics, project documents, content specific to teachers, more than 5 thousand books and more than 240 thousand questions are offered to teachers and students.

For students preparing for central exams, work is underway to adapt the exam curriculum to the distance education process.

Teachers will continue to receive additional tuition fees

In this process, teachers will continue their work remotely, and they will be able to come to schools for distance education and benefit from tools such as computers and cameras. Branch teachers, on the other hand, will come to the schools at least 1 day a week in order to follow and coordinate the distance education process. Teachers will continue to receive additional tuition fees in the distance education process.

In order to carry out the distance education process effectively and efficiently, the teachers will go to the school at least 1 day a week to evaluate and process the class notebooks in line with the planning to be made by the school administrations with the teachers and the teachers working in the guidance service.

Counseling and Research Centers will continue to provide face-to-face services for those who will be diagnosed for the first time. In this process, applications made until November 18, 2020 for inter-school transfer applications will be processed, new applications will not be received until December 31, 2020.

According to the table in the last week of December, the gradual transition planning and calendar to face-to-face education in schools will be shared with the public.

The semester break will start on Monday, January 25, 2021 and end on Friday, February 5, 2021.
