Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will make a renovation work on the 400-meter section of the Variant Road. The road will be closed to bus and vehicle traffic from Wednesday, November 25 to Sunday, November 29.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will renovate a section of the Variant Road, which was opened in 1955 and has been one of the symbols of the city from past to present. In the 400-meter section of Varyant between İzmir Education Dental Hospital and Toy Museum, in line with the permission obtained from İzmir No.1 Regional Board for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, the cobblestone stones that are worn and deformed with the traffic load will be removed and asphalt paved. The work that will start on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, will be completed on Sunday, November 29, 2020. During this period, ESHOT buses will travel from Ikiçeşmelik Street. Vehicles coming from Eşrefpaşa direction will also use Ikiçeşmelik Avenue. Those who want to go in the direction of Halilrıfat Paşa will be able to continue from United Nations Avenue and reach Halil Rıfat Paşa Street. The variant road will be opened to vehicle traffic on Monday, November 30th.
