Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that a multi-level intersection will be built at the point where Gen. Hulusi Akar Boulevard, known as Furkan Doğan Crossroads in public opinion, intersects Aşık Veysel Boulevard and said, “An uninterrupted traffic will be provided at the intersection of the rail system and wheeled vehicles”.
In his statement, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that at the point where General Hulusi Akar Boulevard, planned as an alternative road to Sivas Boulevard, which is the most important artery on the east-west axis of the city, intersects with Aşık Veysel Boulevard, the traffic density of rubber wheeled vehicles.
Stating that the current rail system line passes through this intersection increases the density, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that it is seen that the density reaches high levels especially in the morning and evening peak hours, and said, “We conducted a comprehensive study to eliminate this problem and determined the most suitable multi-level intersection model for the region. Talas Anayurt's new rail system line, which is planned to be built on General Hulusi Akar Boulevard, to the existing rail system line on Aşık Veysel Boulevard, we have made our future planning by calculating the traffic density as it will be integrated at this intersection ”.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, who stated that the most ideal-storey intersection was designed as a result of the work of technical teams, said, “At this multi-storey intersection, General Hulusi Akar Boulevard axle was planned as an underpass for rubber-wheeled vehicles, and for left turns at the intersection, 2 U-type vehicles on Aşık Veysel Boulevard in the north and south. The underpass is planned ”.
Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that the tender for the multi-storey intersection will be held on Monday, October 26, and wished that the multi-storey intersection, which will provide an uninterrupted traffic service when completed, will be beneficial to the people of Kayseri.
