Servet Şahin, President of the Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OTSO), who made an indirect evaluation of the completion of the Black Sea-Mediterranean road project, which was tendered in 2008; “The completion of this project will be a road affecting provinces such as Ordu, Sivas, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş and Hatay directly, while indirectly affecting approximately 45 provinces. At the same time, the distance between Ordu and Mesudiye will decrease to 1 hour, the transportation between Ordu and Sivas with tunnels and viaducts will decrease to 2 hours, and the transportation between Ordu and Iskenderun will decrease to 6-7 hours. said.

Emphasizing that the city of Ordu will turn into a logistics center with the completion of the Black Sea-Mediterranean road project, Şahin continued his evaluations as follows: “Ordu will play an important role in exports to countries on the Black Sea coast. This situation, which will provide great convenience in the transportation of export products from the Mediterranean and Central Anatolia Region to the Black Sea, will also make a significant contribution to the country's economy. In addition, export products will be delivered more easily by our industrialists to the countries on the Black Sea coast. This road will be the direct gate of 5 provinces and indirectly the gateway of approximately 45 provinces to the Black Sea. "

Stating that the Black Sea-Mediterranean road is the most important project for Ordu after Ordu-Giresun Airport, Şahin lastly said; “After our airport, this is the most valuable investment in our city and region. The most important thing in trade is transportation. It's easier to trade when we handle the transportation. When the Black Sea-Mediterranean road is completed, approximately 45 provinces will export to countries neighboring the Black Sea via this route. This project, which is aimed to be delivered at the end of 2020, may be delayed a little due to the troubles experienced with the effect of the pandemic process. I hope this project will be completed and put into service as soon as possible. " He used his expressions.
