Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STSO) Chairman Mustafa Eken, Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), attended the Consultation and Assessment Meeting organized by.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and chamber presidents attended the meeting.

President Eken, who conveyed the problems and troubles of Sivas and the business world to Minister Varank, demanded that the necessary allowance be sent to complete the infrastructure of Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone quickly.

Underlining that there is no place left in Sivas 1st OIZ, Mayor Eken said, “Dear Minister, we have no place left in Sivas First Organized Industry, we have 5-6 parcels. The number of unemployed in Sivas is around 40-50 thousand. The infrastructure tender of Demirağ OIZ, held in 2018, should have ended at the end of 2020. A budget is needed in the end of 2020. Until now, only 94 million TL of 4 million TL infrastructure cost has been sent. This infrastructure must be finished. We have already spoken to you like that so that our President will sign the decree to end the infrastructure. However, neither the infrastructure is progressing nor has been signed. We have investors, 5-10 thousand people will be employed. We keep them ready for a year, but we keep them busy, so to speak. "If the infrastructure ends and the decree is signed, unemployment will end in our city and Sivas will come to its deserved place.
