Overpasses, which are under the responsibility of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, are of great importance for the use of citizens in urban transportation. Escalators serving in these overpasses also increase the transportation comfort of citizens. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Building Control Department Energy, Lighting and Mechanical Works Branch Directorate teams also carry out periodic maintenance of escalators in all districts of Kocaeli in order to enable citizens to use escalators and elevators safely and comfortably.
ONE OF THE STAIRS OF TURGUT ÖZAL BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED
Within the scope of modernization of escalators, the renewal of all security equipment and mechanical parts of 16 escalators at Turgut Özal, Adnan Menderes, Mimar Sinan and Çayırova Overpasses was planned by the Metropolitan Municipality to provide more comfortable service to citizens. In this context, primarily Turgut Özal Bridge north escalators will remain closed for 15 (days) as of Thursday, October 2020, 15 (tomorrow). Following the process here, the revision of the north and south escalators of the Mimar Sinan Bridge will be started.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Periodic maintenance and repairs of escalators are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations. In addition to monthly periodic maintenance, the intervention and repair service for malfunctions in escalators and elevators is carried out by the Energy Lighting and Mechanical Works Branch Management teams. Thus, while the service quality offered by all escalators and elevators is increased, citizens benefit from this service without any problems.
