Speaking at the opening ceremony of Cizre Şırnak Road Cudi Mountain Tunnel and Viaduct, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they have built over 10 kilometers of roads with 490 highway investments in Şırnak.

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, made important statements at the Mass Opening Ceremony held in front of the Governorship of Şırnak. It will make transportation safe and comfortable on a route that reaches the customs gates of Iraq and Syria. While the high quality of our road will have a positive effect on this line, I hope it will also lead to economic vitality and the creation of new job opportunities. Our road is shortened 8 kilometers with the opening of our tunnels and viaducts that we built by piercing Mount Cudi, which has been called impassable for thousands of years. With the commissioning of our road, we will save 55 million 600 thousand TL from time and 19 million 800 thousand TL annually, including 75 million 400 thousand TL from fuel consumption. Noting that the Cizre-Şırnak road, which will contribute to the quality of transportation in the region and the living standards of the people, Karaismailoğlu stated that their projects in the Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia regions have a completely different meaning. Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk emphasized that it is extremely important to share the beauties made to Şırnak under the leadership of President Erdoğan and to realize these openings.

Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan stated that investments amounting to 17 billion liras have been made in every field in the city in 17 years and expressed his gratitude to President Erdoğan and relevant ministries on behalf of the people of Şırnak for the establishment of a climate of security and peace.
