Ladik Akdağ Ski Center is getting ready for the winter season with the new investments of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. Having completed the transportation infrastructure works of the center, the municipality is also building a new cafeteria in the region.
Ladik, one of the touristic districts of Samsun, continues to develop with the infrastructure services of the metropolitan municipality. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which has completed the construction of the wedding hall, which was left unfinished in the district, continues its landscaping works in Ambarköy. Road problems of 53 districts of the district will be completed by the end of 2021.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which makes an intense effort to increase the tourism potential of the district, attaches great importance to Akdağ Ski Center. The Akdağ Ski Center, 87 kilometers from Samsun, with an altitude of 1900 meters, attracts the attention of tourists in winter with its 1360 meters of track length, 16-masted and 84-seat chairlift.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to make additional investments in order for Akdağ Ski Center to serve tourists not only in winter but also in summer, has completed the construction of the remaining 7-meter road with the maintenance and repair of the 800-kilometer road that provides the center to the district. The landscaping of the ski center was reconstructed, the parking area of 4 square meters was paved, and the toilets and sinks were enlarged.
The modern cafeteria under construction will be completed by the end of the year. There will also be a mosque in the new 300 square meter cafeteria. The Metropolitan Municipality will manage the cafeteria.
Akdağ Ski Center, which has doubled in the number of visitors last year, will become more attractive with new investments. Stating that Ladik has important advantages in terms of tourism, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said that they will continue their tourism investments in the district.
Stating that the attraction of the ski center has started to increase, President Demir said, “The number of visitors in the last year has doubled compared to 2018. We will increase the number of visitors here with the new investments we make. Ladik Akdağ is gradually becoming the ski tourism center of the Black Sea Region. We are bringing a new cafeteria here. We will complete and open it until the winter season. We enlarged and renewed the existing toilets and sinks. We have increased the transportation comfort by paving the unfinished 800-meter road together with the parking areas. We want this place to serve not only in the winter season but also in the summer. That's why we will be moving in the summer months, ”he said.
Stating that they are trying to utilize the tourism advantages of the district in the best way and bring them to the economy, Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “Tourism is an accurate and difficult work with a vision. It is an area that should be well known what, how and when to do within a certain plan. If you do not make the investments at the right time and in the right way, you can lower the existing tourism value. People have to have attraction to come. We develop Ladik through the eyes of foreign tourists. "We will set the destinations correctly and make promotions accordingly."
