Velo Erciyes MTB and Downhill stages of the Erciyes International Mountain Bike competitions organized with the support of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality were run. Cyclists cycled a total of 4 kilometers in difficult terrain conditions on Mount Erciyes for 129 days. Turkey's first and only downhill trails in breathtaking images appeared.
The International Road Bike Races, which started in Kayseri on September 3 and completed successfully, continue with 17 Mountain Bike competitions, 11 of which are Downhill, between 2 September and 15 October. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Erciyes Inc., Erciyes High Altitude Sports Tourism Association, Velo Erciyes organized by the International Cycling Union by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) and Turkey Cycling Federation and cooperation RATE Development Agency, Devel Municipality Sports Inc., Kayseri Transport A. 4 athletes from Turkey and abroad participated in the 40-day Velo Erciyes MTB and Downhill stage of the Erciyes International Mountain Bike Races, which was held with the support of the Provincial Health Directorate and public institutions and organizations.
Mountain bike races were held in 4 categories: Cross Country Marathon-XCM, Cross Country Olimpik-XCO, Cross Country Time-XCT and Cross Country Point-XCP. The athletes covered a fierce sweat by covering a total distance of 129 kilometers during the race in uneven terrain conditions.
In the general classification of Velo Erciyes MTB races, Abdulkadir Kelleci from Brisaspor Cycling Team took the first place, Hennadii Moiseiev from Ukraine Cycling National Team came second and Tom Reho from the same team came third. In the women's category, Iryna Slobodyan from the Ukrainian National Cycling Team came first, Maria Sherstiuk from the same team, and Semra Yetiş from the Brisaspor Cycling Team came in third.
Founded in 2.200 meters of Mount Erciyes Erciyes Cup Downhill Bike Park is located at Erciyes Turkey's first and only downhill course was held. The races in the UCI C2 category took place on a specially prepared track with a length of 1.760 meters in Erciyes Bike Park, with ramps, stone stairs, hard turns and tons of rocks. Cyclists who are passionate about adrenaline resisted the harsh terrain conditions and stepped on the pedal.
Emirhan Eroğlu came first, Yavuz Aksoy second and Adilhan Şanlı third in the Erciyes Downhill Cup.
Velo Erciyes MTB Races and Erciyes Downhil Cup winners were given their awards at a ceremony.
