Daxing Airport Exceeds 10 Million Passengers During Pandemic Period

Although the International Daxing Airport, which was opened in Beijing in September 2019, was closed for a long time due to the pandemic, it reached 10 million passengers in one year.

Daxing Airport currently functions as the landing-take-off base for 129 airline lines connecting 187 destinations across the country. As of Monday, September 22, the airport hosted the landing and take-off of 39 aircraft carrying 84 tons of cargo and package volume.

International Daxing Airport has witnessed a significant increase in the number of flights as airlines direct their flights from Beijing's International Capital Airport to Daxing. In this context, China Southern Airlines handles 80 percent of its Beijing-connecting flights from Beijing International Daxing Airport. From today to 2025, China Southern Airlines operates more than 200 aircraft at this airport, aiming to carry 28,8 million passengers with them.
