Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has completed its preparations for the “European Mobility Week”, which is held every year between 16-22 September, which encourages cities and municipalities to take and support sustainable transportation measures. The opening meeting of the week, where events will be held online due to the pandemic, will be held on Wednesday, September 16 by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality will organize a series of events for 16 days in the "European Mobility Week" to be held between 22-7 September.

The events, where workshops, training, interviews and seminars will be held online due to the pandemic, will start on Wednesday, September 16 with a press release by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş stating the purpose and scope of the week.

CAPITALS WILL GO TO WORK WITH BICYCLE

The theme of this year's European Mobility Week, in which two thousand 48 cities from 30 countries will participate, will be "Zero Emission Mobility for All". “Sustainable Urban Mobility Workshop”, “Safe Cycling Training”, “Benefits of Cycling in Transportation” and “Healthy Steps and Pedals Conversation” will be held throughout the week to draw attention to zero emission and the use of public transportation and bicycles in the city.

Volunteer cyclists from the capital will also go to their workplaces by bicycle on Monday, September 21, with the event "I'm Going to Work by Bike - Bike To Work". The photos and short videos that they will take on the road will be sent to the “# isebicyclelegidiyorum- # biketowork” hashtags. The images of the citizens of the capital will be published on the websites of the Metropolitan Municipality, social media accounts and City Screens.
