The September council meeting of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO) was held under the direction of Parliament Speaker M. Şadan Eren, within the scope of pandemic process measures, using video conferencing method.

EREN: WE WILL EXCEED THE DIFFICULT PERIOD WITH THE POWER

Addressing the members of the parliament after watching the film in which TTSO's September activities took place, Assembly President M. Şadan Eren said, “We continue to hold our assembly meetings via teleconference. I think we will continue for a while ”he said. Eren continued his words as follows:

“Our region has largely lost the increasing foreign currency inflow it has caught in the field of tourism in the past years due to the pandemic, and this lack of input has affected our business world in a chain. The closure of schools and universities has also left the tradesmen of our city in a difficult situation, especially in the service sector. The increase in foreign currency increased the costs considerably. It is imperative that we get out of this difficult period in unity. The locomotive of the Turkish private sector to rise to power of Turkey on behalf of the plains; Together with our government, Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of our Union, our rooms and our rooms, our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu in the leadership is continuing to work with all our might. Our expectation from you, our valuable members; You continue to voice the problems of both your companies and your professional committees. As in every parliamentary meeting, I offer my respects to all of you by reminding the 'Mask Distance Cleaning' rule. "

HACISALİHOĞLU: WE MUST ADD PRODUCTION TO OUR EXCLUSIVE LOGISTICS

TTSO President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu said in his speech at the September parliamentary meeting, “It is understood that we need to increase and continue pandemic measures. At the point reached in the economy today, we see that very accurate decisions are taken. We can say that this is the success of our country. It seems that every country is working towards opening new doors for itself in a stuck economy. We are also located in an important position in Turkey. The fact that we are a bridge between Asia and Europe reveals how important our place in production and logistics is. Within the commercial logistics movement from Europe to Kazakhstan, the number of trucks passing from our city is around 120 thousand and 70 percent of them are Turkish trucks. Eastern and western countries have to use our country in trade. While seeing the logistics movement, we have to do our part on the basis of production in order for countries to obtain the products they use from our country. We do 50 percent of our country's trade with EU countries. We have to shift this trade to the east, ”he said.

"REASONABLE TO INCREASE EXPORT BY 7 PERCENT AS A CITY"

Hacısalihoğlu said, “With the pandemic, TOBB quickly organized and the chamber resolved the problems and solutions it received from the exchanges very quickly with the government. This situation caused the rapid recovery of our economy. As of August, significant increases were observed in capacity utilization rates, when the real sector confidence index started to rise. When we look at these, it becomes clear that the decisions taken and the proactive solution of the problems in our economy have been successfully carried out. Of course, there is no success in every sector. There has been a significant decrease in tourism. Considering that with the opening of the schools, 130-140 million Turkish lira per month has entered our city in student movements, we have been deprived of this this year. In this regard, the problems in some sectors also affect the general growth of our country. But we should be thankful for that too. As a result of the studies carried out, our loss in employment seems to be around 2 percent. When we look at the severity of the pandemic, it is not too much. When we look at our exports, Turkey's exports shows 13 percent decrease compared to the same season last year. This is important in times of crisis. Everyone slows down imports. Our rate of increase in imports is also minus 3.9. Our export amount in our city has increased by 7 percent compared to last year. Our city continues its active business life. Incoming data gives us this morale, ”he said.

President Hacısalihoğlu said, “For the survival of our economy, the repayment of the loans given by our government starts in October. I hope we make the payments without disruption. We made demands on the measures to be taken if there was a problem. "We are continuing the pandemic process with a not bad trend in the economy."

"WE WILL BRING KUYUMCUKENTI TO LIFE IN A SHORT TIME"

TTSO President M. Suat Hacısalihoğlu said, “We have a Kuyumcukent project that we have been working on for a long time. This work has come to an end with our council members Hüseyin Ekşi and Cevat Kara. It was brought to the stage to be tendered as a place. I would like to thank our Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and his team for their support to this day. I also thank my colleagues in the Professional Committee. We hope that we will launch Kuyumcukent in a very short time. In addition, our members of Parliament Cevat Karan element Apprentice of the Year was selected in Turkey. We congratulate him on this issue, ”he said.

"WE ARE WAITING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION TENDER DATE FOR THE RAILWAY"

Hacısalihoğlu also mentioned the Erzincan - Gümüşhane - Trabzon railway project at the end of his words and said, “There is a railway that we have been working on for years. Our Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave us the good news of this project. "Our expectation is that this project will be included in the investment program and will contribute to the development of the economy of the region."
