The Workshops of Vocational High Schools are Equipped with Latest Technologies

Within the scope of the project, which is carried out by the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education and financed by the EU, 55 workshops in 1.150 vocational and technical Anatolian high schools are completely renovated with the latest technologies.

Financial Assistance Program for Refugees in Turkey (FRIT) Fund within the scope of the German Development Bank (KfW) via funded through Economic and Social Cohesion Vocational and Technical Education Project (seup) Project is underway. Within the scope of the project, a total of 55 workshops in 22 occupational areas in 1150 vocational and technical Anatolian high schools are equipped with the latest technology machinery, equipment and training kits while being spatially renovated. In the project with a budget of 50 million Euros, while the workshops and equipment are renewed, the needs of Syrian and Turkish students under temporary protection such as service, lunch, clothes, bags and stationery are met. In this context, support is provided to 10 thousand students during the project.

444 workshops have been equipped

Within the scope of the project, the renovation and equipment of 3 workshops in the fields of informatics, electrical-electronics and child development, which are 444 areas where the Ministry has the most workshops, have been completed. Approximately 17 million lira, including 138 million euros, was spent for the workshops, which were renovated and equipped, and for student support packages and visibility studies. 28 IT workshops in 132 schools were completely renewed in terms of space and equipment. 30 electrical-electronics workshops in 248 schools and 17 child development workshops in 64 schools were renewed in terms of space and equipment. In the machine technology department, 14 workshops in 104 schools and 12 workshops for 35 schools in the field of beauty and hair care services were finalized and the delivery process started. The renovations of these workshops and hardware tenders and renovation works continue in 12 other professions.

At least 10 million 1 thousand students will benefit from the renewed workshops in 100 years

Towards the end of next year, all workshop and equipment refurbishments will cease. When the average number of students per school is taken as a basis, 2 thousand students in 55 schools will be provided with modern educational opportunities in the first place. When it is calculated that the renewed devices and workshops will serve for 110 years, it is predicted that at least 10 million 1 thousand students will benefit from these opportunities.

In addition, social adaptation activities are carried out in schools where students learn by having fun together and develop their collaboration and collaboration skills.
