"

It is very important to our clumsy
The Head of Strategy Development Department Veysel Nak, who shared the details of the project 'Let's Pedal in the Black Sea', of which the Metropolitan Municipality is the coordinator institution in the Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Program, said: We are promoting it during the European Mobility Week. With this project, Sakarya will be among the safe bicycle tourism destinations with its international bicycle routes, bicycle-friendly businesses, and will contribute to employment in the region ”.
Bicycle tourism will be introduced to the whole world
Head of Department Veysel Naked said, “This project has many aspects such as sports, tourism, sectoral education and promotion, as well as international cooperation that will bring common solutions in areas such as healthy transportation to the Black Sea border countries and climate change. There will also be sustainable economic returns for the Sakarya tourism industry. Sakarya's bicycle and green tourism will be promoted to the whole world through the project partners ”.
As SUBÜ, we are the supporters of the project
SUBU Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık said, “I am proud to be a partner of this important project. We will continue to support the project from the beginning to the end and we will try to bring many more projects to our city. The project includes both sports and tourism, so as Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, we are directly involved and supporter of the project. I think the project will make a great contribution to the city and I wish it to be beneficial ”.
Sports and wellness
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce said, “Healthy life, sports and movement are indispensable elements of our culture. Even looking at the oldest records of the thousands of years of adventure of our ancestors, it is seen that training on horseback riding, archery and using sword and shields started from childhood and this is a way of life. On the other hand, our leader Hz. The importance of sports and healthy living can be seen clearly in many points in Muhammad's (SAV) life and in many of his advice to us Muslims. ”
Sakarya will be the thirteenth bicycle friendly city in the world
Mayor Ekrem Yüce said, “Sakarya is the most advantageous city at many points among the cities in our country. One of these advantages is that almost the entire city is suitable for cycling. You know, only 12 cities in the world have the title of "Bicycle Friendly City". As Sakarya, we aspire to become the thirteenth Bicycle Friendly City. We have provided all the necessary conditions in this regard. We are about to fulfill a final or two criteria. After all this, we hope that our Sakarya will be the thirteenth bicycle-friendly city in the world ”.
The target is 307 kilometers of bike path
Mayor Yüce said, “We are implementing projects that will highlight the characteristics of our city. We're building bike lanes. We currently have a total of 68 kilometers of bicycle path. Our goal is a 307-kilometer bicycle path. From here, we are building a bicycle path from Sunflower Bicycle Valley to Sapanca shores. The road consists of three stages in total. We have completed the first stage, from here to the Summer Crossroad. We also expect approval from the ministry for the parts from the Summer Crossroad to Sapanca shores, ”he said.
We integrate new cycling routes into international transportation networks.
Speaking about the intense use of SAKBIS, Mayor Yüce said, “All of our bicycles in smart stations integrated into our bicycle paths spread throughout the city were allocated for the use of our citizens. Let me talk about the project, which is another reason for our meeting here. "We will carry our city to a stronger position in cycling with a project that will improve bicycle tourism and inter-country dialogue within the scope of the Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Program funded by the European Union."
Bicycle routes will be transferred to the international platform
Mayor Ekrem Yüce said, “The bicycle routes to be created in Sakarya within the scope of the project will be positioned on a digital map and transferred to the international platform. Trainings on entrepreneurs, accommodation facilities, agencies, restaurants, communication and promotion and pedal-friendly business will be given to the operators in the field of tourism in the city. In addition, a digital platform will be created with project partners Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia to promote the tourism destination and bicycle routes in the city, and bicycle mobile applications will be prepared. In the project where bicycle tour programs for national and international tour operators will be prepared, a festival related to bicycle and bicycle tourism will also be held. On this occasion, I hope the European Mobility Week activities and the Let's Pedal in the Black Sea Project will be beneficial ”.
