A parking lot for 824 vehicles to Üçkuyular Transfer Center

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is implementing the transfer center and parking project that will breathe Üçkuyular. From now on, İzmir residents who leave their vehicles in the parking lot will be able to easily go wherever they want by metro, tram, bus or ferry. While the Üçkuyular Transfer Center was put into service, the countdown started for the opening of the 824-vehicle car park.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its excavations for the construction of the F.Altay-Narlıdere Metro line without slowing down, responded to another important need of the region with the Üçkuyular Transfer Center and Car Park project. Üçkuyular region, which is at the intersection point of metro, tram, bus and ferry, has reached both the transfer center and the parking lot with the investment of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. The transfer center located below the road elevation was commissioned three months ago. The 824-vehicle car park will soon be operational.

Suitable for the elderly, pregnant and disabled people

Üçkuyular Transfer Center and Car Park project has a construction area of ​​approximately 52 thousand square meters. Üçkuyular Transfer Center was planned considering the access of elderly, pregnant and disabled people. Access to the platforms was provided with elevators and disabled ramps on both sides of the building. There are 23 bus stops in the transfer center, administrative offices, passenger waiting areas, toilets and canteens to be used by ESHOT on the platform floor.

The 824-vehicle section of the 40-vehicle underground car park, which consists of three floors, was reserved for disabled vehicles. There are toilets, prayer rooms and offices on the parking floors. In order to avoid traffic density, a tunnel was built on Deniz Feneri Street, which is located on the parking lot entrance route, with double arrival and departure. The roof of the terminal building was designed according to the green roof system. The area of ​​6 thousand square meters was planted.

Citizens who leave their private vehicles in the parking lot can easily go anywhere they want by metro, tram, bus or ferry. With the Üçkuyular Transfer Center and Car Park project, the integration of the district minibuses with other transportation modes will be ensured. The Metropolitan Municipality implemented the transfer center and parking lot project with the Build-Operate-Transfer model with a ten-year usufruct.
