A report prepared by Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry was presented to Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, who came to Diyarbakır. In the report, it was requested that the Southern Kurtalan Express, which travels between Ankara-Kurtalan-Ankara, be named as "Mesopotamia Express", that the train journey is developed for tourism purposes, and that it cooperates with TCDD for planning tour organizations involving Diyarbakır and the provinces of the region. In the report, it was emphasized that a total of 750 thousand tons of DAP and NP fertilizers to be produced daily at the Mazıdağı fertilizer and phosphate factory should be connected to the main line with a connection line parallel to the newly built Mardin-Şanlıurfa-Elazığ highway before entering the city.

Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Mehmet Kaya presented a 10-page report to the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, who arrived in the city yesterday, including the problems and demands regarding the transportation and infrastructure of the city and the region. In the report, which is intended to be included in the investment program of Şanlıurfa-Habur and Habur-Diyarbakır-Rize highway projects, together with the Mazıdağı Mardin connection of the Sivas-Diyarbakır and Gaziantep-Habur railway projects, the report said, “The expropriation and construction works of the Diyarbakır Southwest ring road will be completed as soon as possible, TCDD ' We demand that a regional directorate be established in Diyarbakır ”.

In the report, which was requested to allocate a place for the creation of a temporary customs area within Diyarbakır Airport, and to make international flight decisions by adding Erbil, Cyprus, Germany, especially the provinces of Baghdad and Basra, the report said: “Diyarbakır-Bingöl We demand that the highway be completed as a divided road before 2009 ”. In the report, railway-related investments and demands are listed as follows;

“It is expected that the number of freight trains on Diyarbakır will increase when the construction of the 'Diyarbakır-Mazıdağı (Mardin) Railway junction line construction work, which is ongoing construction between TCDD's Mazıdağı Metal Recycling and Integrated Fertilizer Facilities and Diyarbakır and whose community length is 53,8 kilometers, is completed. The freight trains of the Mazıdağı Fertilizer and Phosphate factory, which will produce 200 thousand tons of fertilizer, including 550 thousand DAP and 750 thousand tons NP, must be connected to the main line with a junction line parallel to the newly built Mardin-Şanlıurfa-Elazığ highway before entering the city. "
