KARDEMİR Won the Railway Wheel Tender of TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. Turkey's first and only having railway wheels manufacturing plant Karabük Iron and Steel Factories Co. (KARDEMİR), Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Transportation Inc. won the tender for railway wheel.
In a statement from Kardemir, Turkey's iron and steel products, continued product development efforts against imports that have made the area the company, Transportation Inc.'s needed and tender meat as monoblock railway wheels in the sale awarded the tender said.
In the statement made, “We participated in the tender held for approximately 600 monoblock railway wheels as the only domestic producer of our country and contributed to our national wealth to remain in the country. We aim to provide foreign currency inflow to our country by meeting the needs of our domestic market as well as the need for wheels in international markets with our product development studies. At the same time, Turkey's first and only manufacturer of railway track, our company has realized about 30 thousand tons of TCDD recently that our country also continues to contribute to the supply rails rail transport. We wish our country, TCDD and our company to be benefited from meeting the rail wheel need of our country, which is completely covered by imports, with domestic resources and national production.
