Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), according to information received from the İzmir Regional Directorate, 2019 August in Izmir 6 thousand 025 of the housing sales in August 2020 increased by 85,0% to 11 thousand 145.
Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 30 thousand 292 house sales and 17,8%. According to the sales numbers, Ankara was followed by Ankara with 17 thousand 131 house sales and 10,1% share, and İzmir with 11 thousand 145 house sales and 6,5% share. The provinces with low housing sales were Hakkari with 13 houses, Ardahan with 22 houses and Şırnak with 99 houses, respectively.
3 thousand 193 houses were sold for the first time in Izmir
The number of houses sold for the first time in İzmir increased by 60,1% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 3 thousand 530. The share of the first sales in total house sales in İzmir was 28,6%.
In the first sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 8 thousand 103 house sales and 15,5%, followed by Ankara with 3 thousand 891 houses and İzmir with 3 thousand 193 houses.
Mortgaged house sales in Izmir were 2020 thousand 5 in August 627
Mortgaged house sales in İzmir increased by 153,1% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 5. 627% of the houses sold in Izmir in August were mortgaged sales. 50,5% of mortgage sales were first sales and 27,8% were second hand sales. 72,2% of the other house sales were first sales and 29,5% was second hand sales.
Buca ranks first in house sales
In districts with a population of over 150 thousand and a high number of housing sales, the highest number of house sales in İzmir in August 2020 was in Buca. While 2020 houses were sold in Buca in August 403, Buca was sold with 171 houses. KarşıyakaÇiğli with 908 house sales, Karabağlar with 799 house sales, Torbalı with 746 house sales, Menemen with 708 house sales, Bornova with 657 house sales, 556 house sales Bayraklı followed by Konak with sales of 550 houses.
