National Intelligent Transportation Systems Strategy Document and Action Plan Published

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the rapid developments in information and communication technologies led to the emergence of new trends and expectations in the transportation understanding and style of the society, saying, 'Efficient, safe, effective, innovative, dynamic, environmentally friendly, providing added value in all modes of transportation. and we will accelerate the transition process of sustainable smart transportation systems. ”

Pointing to the circular on the 'National Intelligent Transportation Systems Strategy Document and Action Plan' published by the Presidency today, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “The National Intelligent Transportation Systems (AUS) Strategy Document and the 2020-2023 Action Plan we prepared in coordination with our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. and together with the organizations, we will implement them in total mobilization. ”

Minister Karaismailoğlu said: “We are going to update the strategy document and action plan dated October 25, 2014, which we prepared in the field of smart transportation systems in line with the need for public transportation, together with rapid urbanization, increase in the number of vehicles and increasing population, as well as technological developments. In this regard, we will develop our work with advanced information technology with human and environment-oriented vision of the transportation system in Turkey.

As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we are developing a smart, safe, fast, economical and environmentally sensitive system that makes maximum use of information technologies in all of our ongoing transportation modes.

With the advanced passenger information systems implemented in all developed countries, we have always started to use advanced information technologies in traffic, public transportation, electronic charging, driver support, load and fleet management, accident and emergency management systems. ”
