Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR), Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc. (TÜLOMSAŞ) started to use locomotives produced with domestic facilities.
Our company, which aims to increase domestic and national production, meets its needs in this direction by using domestic and national facilities. Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc. (TÜLOMSAŞ), the locomotives that were produced by local means and brought to our factory area started to be used.
Our locomotives organized a parade at the ceremony where our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mustafa Yolbulan and our Board Members, our General Manager Necdet Utkanlar and our senior management took part. The sacrifice was slaughtered with wishes to be beneficial for our locomotives with diesel electric feature allocated to our Transportation Directorate.
Stating that they are working day and night to reduce the foreign dependency of our company and our country, Chairman of the Board of Directors Yolbulan stated that they have full confidence in our country's production and engineering capabilities and that they hope this acquisition will set an example for all sectors.
In addition, we opened our another investment, overhead power line, today. The line with a length of 950 meters and a carrying capacity of 1500 amperes will provide the transmission between our switchyard and our meltshop.
