By 2035, the length of the railway lines in China is expected to reach 200 thousand kilometers, and the length of high-speed train lines to 70 thousand kilometers. In addition, rail transportation will be provided to all cities with a population of more than 200 thousand, and high-speed trains will be provided to cities with a population of more than 500 thousand.
According to the program, the world's number one modern rail network will also be created in China by 2050. The length of the railway lines operating in the country as of the end of July reached 141 thousand 400 kilometers, and the length of high-speed train lines reached 36 thousand kilometers. China ranks second in the world in terms of total rail line length, and first in the world in terms of high speed line length.
