Avni Dilligil (January 1, 1908, Haifa - May 21, 1971, Istanbul), Turkish actor and director. Avni Dilligil was born in the city of Haifa in the last years of the Ottoman Empire. He studied at Edirne High School and then Istanbul High School. After graduating from high school in Istanbul, he took a role in the play "Hamlet" at the City Theaters in 1927 and started his art life. Avni Dilligil, who acted in the City Theater for a long time, left the City Theaters after an argument with Muhsin Ertuğrul. Later, he founded groups such as Ses Operetta, Şehir Theater (İzmir), Youth Theater, Çığır Sahne, Folk Theater, Avni Dilligil Theater, took part in Raşit Rıza Theater, Turkish Theater, Bizim Theater, and also took part in more than 350 films. In 1941, he appeared in the cinema with the movie "Kahveci Güzeli". He started directing in 1950 with the movie "For My Son". He has written four movie scripts. In addition to his theater studies, he taught many actors such as Nejat Uygur, Metin Serezli, Ayşen Gruda, Halit Akçatepe, Hulusi Kentmen and helped him to be known by the masses. The phrase "no democracy in theater" has become synonymous with itself.

Erhan Dilligil was born from his first wife Nezahat Tanyeri in 1933, his child Çiçek Dilligil, who was an actress from his marriage to Belkıs Dilligil, and Rahmi Dilligil, the former general manager of the State Theater. He is the brother of Turhan Dilligil and Aliye Rona. KadıköyAvni Dilligil, who died due to a heart attack in the theater backstage in Turkey, was buried in the Karacaahmet Cemetery.
