Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has been continuing its hygiene studies in public transportation vehicles for public health since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, has added a new one to these measures. With the instruction of Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, a transparent panel application was initiated in order to protect both drivers and citizens from the virus in the taxis in the Capital. Taxi tradesmen show great interest in the free application.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has carried out activities to protect public health since the first day of the coronavirus epidemic, continues by diversifying the measures it has taken.

The free transparent panel application, which was launched for the first time in taxis in order to protect the health of tradesmen and citizens with the instruction of the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, attracts great attention.

"THE VEHICLE IS PROTECTED FROM CORONAVIRUS"

Taking hygiene measures to the next level due to the increasing number of cases in the Capital, the Metropolitan Municipality aims to protect the health of both drivers and passengers with the application that is installed free of charge.

While the assembly process of the transparent panels that protect the citizens and taxi drivers from direct contact continues rapidly, stickers are placed on the taxis with the words "This vehicle is protected against coronavirus" in order for the passengers to use the taxi with peace of mind.

INSTALLATION BY APPOINTMENT

Meeting with the taxi driver tradesmen who had a transparent panel mounted, Beltema Insurance General Manager Ali Çalışkan explained that the interest was great:

“Until today, nearly a thousand applications have been received from our taxi driver tradesmen. Applications were made in line with the messages (SMS) sent to them. We can make 100 panels per day. Our taxi driver tradesmen are invited to the determined number on a daily basis, and assembled by appointment. This practice is already available in many European countries. first as we do in Turkey. "
