Light was seen in the right tube of the Salarha tunnel, which consists of 2 separate two-way tubes connecting the North and South.
Approximately 12 km from the center of Rize in the direction of Salarha Küçükçayır. In the Salarha Tunnel project, which will reduce the existing road route with a length of 3 kilometers, a "Light Image Ceremony" was held in Rize central Dalyan for the right tube, whose drilling process was completed.
At the ceremony, Ak Party Deputy Chairman of Rize Deputy Hayati Yazıcı, Former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turan, Rize Governor Kemal Çeber, AK Party Rize Deputies Osman Aşkın Bak, Muhammet Avcı, Ak Party Rize Former Deputy Abdulkadir Kart, Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin Ak Party Rize Provincial Head İshak Alim, institution directors and citizens attended.
Following the "Light Appeared" ceremony, where speeches about the importance of Salarha Tunnel were made, the exit of Tünel was reached at the Salarha Dörtyol location by entering from the center of Rize Dalyan by vehicles.
The route, which is separated from the Rize City center, Dalyan locality, from the ring road with a crossroad, is 2.900 m. long tunnel, exits the tunnel near the Dört Yol village, passes over Küçükçayır road with a bridge and is approximately 500 m. In the future, it is connected to the settlements in the region through a bridged crossroad and side roads on the main branch. Thanks to the tunnel, which will reduce the distance of 12 km to 3 kilometers, travel time of up to 20-30 minutes will be reduced to as short as approximately 5 or 10 minutes.
In the Salarha tunnel, the excavation supporting works were completed by drilling the right tube from both sides and the light was seen. In the left tube excavation support works, there was 230 meters away from the sight of the light. The excavation work of the Sol tube is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, and the light is expected to be seen.
