Sabancı Foundation has been supporting the education of university students with scholarships for 46 years within the scope of the scholarship program it has launched with the aim of encouraging success. Sabancı Foundation, which will provide scholarships to university students at the undergraduate level in the 2020-2021 academic year, provides scholarships to approximately 1.500 students each year.
The Sabancı Foundation Scholarships, which continue from university entrance to graduation, cover 9 months of cash payments between October and June each year. Scholarships were 700 TL per month for undergraduate students last year. In the Sabancı Foundation scholarship program, which will be announced in September 2020-2021, the scholarship amounts and application locations, mentorship can be given to students who continue to receive scholarships to pay their debts if they wish.
Sabanci Foundation, which has provided 46 thousand scholarships in 48 years, has different scholarship programs for students who have recently moved to universities:
- University Entrance Scholarship: In the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), it is given to the students who are placed in the universities where the scholarship quota is allocated by providing the base scores determined by the Sabancı Foundation.
- Scholarship for Priority Provinces in Development: Born in one of the 15 provinces determined by the Sabancı Foundation, completing its secondary education in one of these provinces, it is awarded to one student selected from each province, which is placed in universities with a scholarship quota by being placed at the top of the ranking with the placement score in YKS.
- Disabled Students Scholarship: YKS is placed at the top of the ranking with the placement score and is given to five students with visual, hearing and orthopedic disabilities placed in the state universities in the country.
- Sabancı Foundation Vista Scholarship: It is given to undergraduate students who are placed in the Tourism related departments of the universities where the scholarship quota is allocated by providing the base points determined by the Sabancı Foundation at YKS.
Universities to which Sabancı Foundation allocates scholarship quotas; Ankara, Boğaziçi, Çukurova, Dokuz Eylül, Ege, Gazi, Hacettepe, Istanbul, Istanbul-Cerrahpaşa, Istanbul Technical, Marmara, Middle East Technical, Yıldız Technical University. Students enrolling in the university are required to follow the departments of the universities regarding the scholarship application dates.
