Beijing quarantined 10 new residential complexes as new corona cases began to increase.

Beijing city officials announced at a press conference Monday that "multiple cases" were identified in a market in Haidian, all associated with the Xinfadi market.

Authorities said that since midnight Monday, residents living in 10 residential complexes near the Yuquandong market in Haidian were quarantined at home and asked for nucleic acid tests.

Stating that these areas will be under control and disinfected for 24 hours, the officials announced that the Yuquandong market, which has been closed since Saturday, will remain closed.

On the other hand, Chinese public health officials announced that 49 new corona cases were detected in Beijing, while thousands of people were being tested.
