After the travel restrictions were lifted at Milas-Bodrum Airport, it met its first scheduled international flight. Domestic flights have been running successfully since June 4.

Scheduled international flights started after a break due to the pandemic at Milas-Bodrum Airport operated by TAV Airports. This morning, the Sunexpress plane from Hanover, Germany, was greeted with a water jewel. Passengers at the terminal welcomed Milas District Governor Eren Aslan, DHMİ Chief Administrator Kemal Daştan, TAV Milas-Bodrum Airport Operation Coordinator Iclal Kayaoğlu and airport employees with flowers.

TAV Milas-Bodrum Operation Coordinator İclal Kayaoğlu said, “We are happy to welcome our passengers and scheduled flights at our airport. With the end of travel bans in early June, we started to serve domestic flights. Thanks to the comprehensive measures we have implemented with our stakeholders, we have carried out a smooth operation until today. Today, we met our first flight on international flights. In the coordination of the Ministry of Transport, which we prepared together in this process, we would like to thank our airlines, DHMI, SHGM, and all our stakeholders, as well as local governments and NGOs. We hope that our international flights will continue to increase in the coming period and we will welcome our guests from all over the world. ”

After Sunexpress, Corendon and Edelweiss airlines are expected to start flights from European destinations to Bodrum in the coming days.

In line with the Airport Pandemic Precautions and Certification Circular published by SHGM at Milas-Bodrum Airport, directions and signs were made to help passengers and airport workers maintain their physical distances across the terminal.
