Burulaş, the transportation company of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, has included 20 new buses to reduce the density in public transportation and meet new line demands.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its investments such as junction arrangement, lane widening and asphalt renewal, to strengthen transportation and increase comfort, which is one of the most important issues of Bursa, is strengthening its vehicle fleet with new vehicles. Aiming to enable Bursa residents to make use of public transportation safely, Metropolitan Municipality has also included 20 new buses in the BURULAŞ fleet that people with disabilities can easily benefit from.

“Fleet is getting younger”

Speaking at the ceremony at the General Directorate of Burulaş in the Novices, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş wished that the new vehicles will be beneficial to the city and the citizens. Stating that Bursa has a potential with more than 3 million inhabitants and a daily carrying capacity of about a million, Mayor Aktaş stated that they wish people to reach their homes, wives and children peacefully in the morning and in the evening. Expressing that they want the Bursa residents to move from one place to another, Mayor Aktaş said, “We do all these works and operations through BURULAŞ. In order to meet the capacity limitation and new line demands that occurred after Kovid-19, we have added new vehicles that are well equipped to our 20 handicapped brothers. With the addition of our new 12-meter buses to our fleet, our vehicle number reached 454. If we include the vehicles we have removed from the circulation in the last two and a half years, we can say that we have reached a growth capacity of approximately 100 vehicles. This means that our fleet is rejuvenated. I hope that the vehicles will help our accident-free people get their morning work and evening home. Good luck, "he said.

“Comfortable transportation with new buses”

Expressing that this investment is the most important investment related to transportation after signalization studies, Mayor Aktaş said that more comfortable transportation will emerge with new buses added to the busy bus lines. Explaining that BURULAŞ and private public buses and subways gave a very good test in the Kovid-19 process, Mayor Aktaş said, “Serious problems have occurred in many cities. Praise be to Allah, as Bursa, we had a minimum level of trouble related to transportation. I wholeheartedly thank our teammates, private public bus users and all parties who supported the process. As of June 1, we are going through the new normal process with certain restrictions. In addition, there is intensity in the morning and evening. Especially in the subway, we are faced with the situation such as the accumulation of the leading car. I want our nurses who use our means of transportation to pay attention to this. ”

“Practices for human interest”

Reminding that there is a working hour starting at 7.30 in Bursa and continuing until 9, President Aktaş explained that preparations were also made for opening schools in late August and early September. Mayor Aktaş said, “Under the head of the governor brain, we will carry out a study with all institutions and organizations about spreading the work between 7 am and 10 am. We will be relieved not only by physical change, but also by practices that will suit our people's interests. Then we will see that transportation is more comfortable. We hear from the public that there is an increasing relief about transportation in Bursa. It makes us happy. However, there are responsibilities for every segment of the society. ”

Stating that they have recently made the protocol for the EDS investment, President Aktaş stated that they target only comfortable transportation in signaling and EDS investments, new arrival buses, other intersection works, especially Acemler Junction and intensive asphalting works.

Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş received information about the buses that joined the fleet from BURULAŞ General Manager Mehmet Kürşat Çapar. Later, President Aktaş, who moved to the steering seat, tested the vehicles by taking a short drive.
