Ekrem İmamoğlu Who is he?

Ekrem İmamoğluHe was born in 1970 in Trabzon. After graduating from Trabzon High School, he graduated from the Department of Business Administration in English at Istanbul University and received a Master's degree in Human Resources and Management at Istanbul University.

In 1992, he started his career in the family company, which does construction and contracting works. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors in this company. He played football as an amateur during his school years. He was the manager of Trabzonspor Football Club, Trabzonspor Basketball Club and Beylikdüzüspor Club.

In 2009, he became CHP Beylikdüzü District President. He was elected Mayor of Beylikdüzü in the March 30, 2014 Local Elections. Playing an active role in the social and cultural life of Beylikdüzü, İmamoğlu is a member of many non-governmental organizations.

In the local elections of March 31, 2019, he was elected Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

İmamoğlu, who is married and has 3 children, has been living in Beylikdüzü since 1991.
